Hello,
since this class uses Google Chart API, you'll need cURL extension and Internet connection to use this class. It can work on localhost, but only if you have Internet connection to query Google Chart API.

There is a new class recently published by Roberto Martinez, that generates QR code in PHP.

phpclasses.org/package/7360-PHP-Gen ...

For that you won't be needing the Internet connection
